Alan Schreck, PhD is a professor of theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught for almost forty years. He is the author of numerous books, including the best-selling Catholic and Christian: An Explanation of Commonly Misunderstood Catholic Beliefs, as well as The Essential Catholic Catechism, Your Life in the Holy Spirit, and The Gift: The Holy Spirit in Catholic Tradition. A number of his television series have aired on EWTN. He and his wife, Nancy, have five adult children and reside in Steubenville, Ohio.
